Volvo S90 Coupe Rumored to Arrive by 2020 and We Can't Wait
Volvo will likely introduce an S90 Coupe model by 2020.
Now that the Volvo S90 has debuted in sedan form, the Swedish automaker is turning its attention to rolling out the rest of its 90 models before bringing the 60 lineup to market within the next four years. Also joining the 90 and 60 models will be an XC40. In other words, by 2019, the new XC90 will be the oldest model in Volvo’s lineup, and the coupe will help keep the 90 lineup fresh.

The Volvo XC Coupe has inspired the XC90, while the Concept Estate will head to production as the new V90 when it’s unveiled next March at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The remaining concept that hasn’t been transformed to a production model is the Concept Coupe (seen above) and the company’s senior vice president of design, Thomas Ingenlath, hinted that would happen in 2020.
The Volvo S90 Coupe would serve as a competitor to the BMW 6 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and with the powerplants Volvo has at its disposal, it would be an attractive alternative for shoppers.
