Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is going to offer nearly 2 million of its owners Siri Eyes Free upgrades.

Owners with certain 2013 and newer FCA vehicles fit with the 8.4-inch Uconnect system will be offered the upgrade, which can be downloaded online and installed in the vehicle by the owner. For those who don’t want to do it themselves, an appointment can be made for a dealer to perform the upgrade.

Siri Eyes Free allows drivers to access the Apple iPhone service through the push of a button on the steering wheel, allowing you to use voice commands to play music, send text messages, place phone calls, set reminders and access navigation.

“With the addition of the Siri Eyes Free feature for later model-year vehicles, more customers will have an opportunity to integrate their iPhones with Uconnect while keeping their hands on the wheel and their eyes on road,” says Tricia Hecker, Global Head of Connected Services, FCA. “By adding Siri Eyes Free capability, customers will be able to use their voice to dictate and send messages, select specific songs, create reminder notifications and set calendar entries.”

The following vehicles qualify for the upgrade:

  • 2013-2015 Ram 1500, 2500, 3500
  • 2013-2015 Dodge Viper
  • 2014-2015 Dodge Durango
  • 2015 Dodge Challenger and Charger
  • 2014-2015 Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee
  • 2015 Jeep Renegade
  • 2015 Chrysler 200 and 300
