Volvo Adds Some Spice to S90, V90 With R-Design Package
Volvo is punching up the style and dynamics on its two latest vehicles to hit the market with its R-Design package.
The S90 and V90 R-Design are recognizable thanks to a new front-end design which includes spoiler-integrated fog lights, a special grille and piano black trim all around. New five-spoke ‘diamond-cut’ wheels are also included.
This package isn’t just about looks though. Volvo says that the advanced sport chassis that is used on these R-Design vehicles makes both of them more energetic thanks to improved handling.

Move inside and these cars are set apart thanks to special deco trim, sporty contour seats, a unique steering wheel and a new illumination package that lights up all these new details.
Volvo didn’t release pricing for the R-Design models, or mention which engine is used. Assumably, that means that this package is available with both the 250-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine, known as the T5, or the supercharged and turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder T6 engine which makes 316 hp.
