Kia has made the new Niro crossover the star of its Super Bowl ad.

Teaming up with actress Melissa McCarthy, the Korean automaker shows off various scenarios and on hard it is to be an “eco-warrior.” But then it goes on to say it’s easy to drive like one with the Niro hybrid. The fuel-efficient crossover returns an EPA-estimated 46 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway, for a 43-mpg combined rating.

McCarthy goes through it all in the commercial, from trying to save whales to trees, ice caps to rhinos. Each mission of course leads to personal disaster, with Kia showing that it can be a lot less painful trying to save the world by driving a Niro.

Of course the commercial is all the better set to Bonnie Tyler’s “Holding Out for a Hero.”
