The 2018 Maserati Ghibli GranLusso has been shown ahead of its unveiling at the Chengdu Motor Show in China.

While not a groundbreaking update by any means, the 2018 Ghibli benefits from a redesigned front bumper and grille and a reworked rear fascia. These minor cosmetic changes give the luxury sedan a refreshed appearance and also contribute to increased aerodynamic efficiency, Maserati says. Also new for 2018 are adaptive full LED headlights with glare free matrix high-beams.

Apart from the cosmetic updates, Maserati says the new Ghibli has received new advanced driver-assistance systems. It’s not yet clear what these may entail, but a press release indicates they will allow Maserati “to enter the world of autonomous driving,” in some fashion.

The Ghibli was also updated for the 2017 model year with a redesigned dashboard layout, Fiat Chrysler’s 8.4-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android auto and a new rotary dial controller.

The 2018 Ghibli will make its debut in China tomorrow.
