Honda will bring an electric urban mobility concept to the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show appropriately named Urban EV.

Honda says the concept will be its first EV for Europe and will set the direction for a future production model. Even though it’s not aimed at the North American market, the concept EV should give us a good idea of the type of electric systems Honda is working on. A teaser image for the Urban EV shows what appears to be the vehicle’s dashboard display with a charging progress bar and a digital Honda logo.

The Urban EV’s debut will be part of a bigger announcement from Honda outlining its plan for the electrification of its European car range. It will also debut a prototype version of the CR-V Hybrid, the diesel version of the Civic hatchback and the mildly updated Honda Jazz – sold and marketed as the Fit in North America.

We’ll have more information on the Honda Urban EV when it makes its Frankfurt debut next month.
