Jaguar has updated its XJR full-size sedan for the 2018 model year, adding a 575 horsepower performance model and a range of technology updates and upgrades.

The performance model, called the XJR575, was first detailed earlier this summer. It features a 575 horsepower version of Jag’s 5.0-liter V8 – up to 25 horsepower from the outgoing XJR. Jag claims a 0-60 mph time of 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 186 mph, making it the fastest XJ of all time. It will be available in two Jag Special Vehicle Operations colors, Velocity Blue and Satin Corris Grey, and will also feature model exclusive 20-inch wheels, red brake calipers and quilted leather seats with ‘575’ logos.

All 2018 XJs will also feature a new 10-inch capacitive touch screen, which is joined by a 12.3-inch driver’s display. The touch screen runs on the latest version of Jag’s InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with pinch-to-zoom and swipe gestures. The system can also relay the navigation to the 12.3-inch driver’s display for easier access. Bolstering the new tech is a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, which can connect up to 8 devices at once.

A suite of advanced driver assistance systems have also been made available for 2018 including Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist, Reverse Traffic Detection, Blind Spot Monitor, Blind Spot Assist, Surround Camera System and Park Assist.

The new entry-level XJ is the XJ R-Sport, which will start at $75,400. A step up to the XJ Supercharged will bring the price to $93,000, while the range-topping XJR575 will cost $122,400. As for the long wheelbase models, the XJL Portfolio will start at $84,500, with the XJ L Supercharged commanding a $12k premium at $96,300.
