The new 2018 Kia Rio has been priced from $14,795 in the United States including destination.

The entry-level 2018 Rio LX will start at $14,795 for the sedan and $15,095 for the 5-door hatchback. A step up to the Rio S trim line will raise the price for $16,995 for the sedan and $16,400 for the hatch. The range-topping Rio EX will command $19,295 for the sedan and $19,595 for the hatch. All prices have been listed including $895 in destination.

Kia US unveiled its all-new Rio earlier this year, introducing minor changes to the nameplate. The 1.6-liter four-cylinder powerplant now makes a bit less power and torque at 130 hp and 116 lb-ft, but benefits from earlier torque delivery and better fuel economy. The looks have also been updated and the car comes with some nice standard equipment including a touchscreen infotainment display and a rear-view camera.

“Value has always been a core tenet for the Kia brand and the all-new Rio sedan and 5-door continue to underscore our commitment to buyers looking for an entry-level vehicle but desire more than what the subcompact segment offers,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning, KMA. “This fourth-generation Rio makes significant improvements over its predecessor in design, technology and passenger comfort, resulting in an even better value proposition, while raising the bar in the small-car segment.”
