The refreshed 2019 Honda Pilot has been partially revealed in new spy photos.

The 2019 Pilot is set to receive a corporate makeover with a more aggressive looking front end, a new grille and different LED headlamps. Out back, Honda has applied some Accord-style taillights that are partly covered up in the prototype pictured here, along with a different tailgate and rear bumper.

While the cosmetic changes will be minor, there are some fairly major changes in store for the updated Pilot. The SUV is expected to add a hybrid powertrain from 2019 onward, which is rumored to be shared with the Odyssey minivan as well. The system will be a version of the two-motor hybrid drivetrain currently found in the Honda Accord, which pairs a 2.0-liter engine with an electric drive system. The standard Pilot’s engine, a 3.5-liter V6, will remain in non-hybrid versions of the SUV.

The 2019 Honda Pilot should debut sometime later this year, perhaps as early as the 2018 New York Auto Show in March.

My wife drove 4 Odyssey's and they were excellent minivans but Honda really messed up with the Pilot restyling. It's not a minivan and its definitely not a good looking SUV. Many better options out there for my money now.

I have a 2007 Pilot with 175k, always loved Homdas Never a bit fan of the boxy Pilot design but the 2018 shocked me. I had no idea it was a Pilot and it does not look like an SUV. Hope they fire their design team and they produce something better by 2023 when I plan to replace my 07!
