Honda
launched its new Everus electric vehicle brand in China this week and showed a new electric concept car based on the HR-V crossover.

Everus is the result of a joint venture between the Japanese automotive giant and its local manufacturing partner in China, GAC.
The company will launch in an official capacity in China over the coming years and says the concept shown here provides a good idea of what’s to come.

The HR-V based concept is fully electric, however no specifications or other details on the powertrain were provided. The production version of the zero-emission crossover will be part of Honda’s plan to introduce 20 electrified vehicles by 2020, the company says.

Everus won’t be sold in North America, but that doesn’t mean Honda doesn’t have electric vehicle ambitions for the US and Canada. It sells the Honda Clarity EV, Clarity Fuel Cell and Clarity Plug-In here, and will hopefully sell its cute little Urban EV here after introducing it in Europe in 2020.
