Jaguar is launching the fourth-consecutive full racing season of its Jaguar Classic Challenge series.

The Jaguar Classic Challenge is reserved for vintage Jaguar racecars and the Jaguar D-Type and XKSS recreation cars. This year the vintage race series has expanded its schedule to include the biennial Le Mans Classic at the iconic Circuit de la Sarthe in France. Pre-1966 race-prepared Jaguar C-types, D-types, E-types, XKs and saloons will be eligible for the races, the automaker says.

The full Jaguar Classic Challenge schedule for 2018 will be as follows:

4-6 May: Donington Historic Festival, Leicestershire
16-17 June: HSCC Silverstone International Trophy, Northamptonshire
6-8 July: Le Mans Classic, Circuit de la Sarthe, France
25-27 August: The HSCC Oulton Park Gold Cup, Cheshire
14-16 September: Spa Six Hours, Spa Francorchamps, Belgium

“The spectacle of a grid full of classic Jaguars racing on circuits around Europe, including Le Mans – which holds a special place in classic Jaguar enthusiasts’ hearts – is a sight not to be missed,” said Jaguar Classic director Tim Hanning. “We encourage all owners of eligible cars to join this competitive series, which enjoys great camaraderie between participants. We all share a passion for Jaguars and seeing them used as they are intended.”

Jaguar is inviting interested parties to sign up for the 2018 Jaguar Classic Challenge by visiting its website at this link. If you don’t own a classic Jag but want to see them in action then not to fret – the events are open to spectators as well.
