The next product from Mercedes-Maybach will be an SUV, and the luxury automaker will introduce a concept version previewing the vehicle later this month.

Maybach released a teaser video today showing off portions of the new concept SUV’s interior. Like other recent Maybach concepts, the SUV appears to feature a white leather interior with an abundance of technology and unique blue trim. The teaser video doesn’t give us much else to work with, so we’ll have to wait until it debuts at Auto China 2018 in Beijing later this month to see more.

We know the concept teased in the video here is for an SUV due to a report that surfaced last month. The report indicated Mercedes would introduce a concept version of its forthcoming Maybach SUV in April before presenting the production version in Los Angeles later this year.

An SUV is a no-brainer of a product for Maybach. Its biggest rival, Rolls-Royce, will soon introduce the Cullinan SUV, and Bentley has been operating in the SUV space for quite some time with the Bentayga. As it stands, Maybach is the odd man out in regards to a super luxury SUV, but that’s all set to change this year.

Stay tuned for full details on Maybach’s new concept SUV as they become available.
