The McLaren 570GT Cabbeen Collection has been presented at Auto China 2018 in Beijing this week.

Featuring embroidery done by one of China’s most famous embroidery companies, Chao Embroidery, the 570GT Cabbeen Collection should have no problem finding fans in Beijing. The vehicle is finished in MSO Bespoke Obsidian Black paint and features a hand-painted dragon design in Gloss Speedline Gold on both door inserts. The 15-spoke GT wheels are also painted in gold, as are the brake calipers.

Inside, the 570GT Cabeen Collection features sculptural dragons embroidered in gold on the central tunnel and rear luggage deck. The motifs were sewn by one Kang Huifang, the Director of the Professional Embroidery Committee of China’s Arts and Crafts Institute, who is renowned locally for her life’s work in preserving the art of Chao Embroidery.

“As a fusion of contemporary British design style and Chinese classic art elements, the 570GT MSO Cabbeen Collection was created to satisfy Chinese customers’ desire for individualization and is further evidence of the growing interest in MSO services in the China market,” said MSO boss Ansar Ali.

Just five examples of the 570GT Cabbeen Collection will be built. Pricing has to be announced, but we get the feeling the British supercar fans and Chinese fashion enthusiasts who might buy one aren’t concerned about the cost.
