Top 10 States With the Most Aggressive Drivers

A recent study has revealed the top 10 states with the most aggressive drivers in the U.S.

Conducted by GasBuddy, the study examined tens of millions of trips in the U.S. from December 2017 to March 2018, noting the frequency of an aggressive event while driving, whether it be speeding, hard braking, or accelerating. According to GasBuddy, aggressive driving habits is the quickest way to waste gas and lower gas mileage by as much as 40 percent, costing drivers up to an extra $477 per year in fuel consumption.

To determine the states with the most aggressive drivers, GasBuddy looked at the number of minutes between aggressive driving events. The shorter the time between events, the more aggressive the drivers.

8. Florida – 8.9 minutes


7. Delaware – 8.9 minutes


6. New Jersey – 8.7 minutes


5. North Carolina – 8.6 minutes
