2019 Honda Pilot Gets New Looks, More Standard Safety Features
The 2019 Honda Pilot has made its debut today, arriving with a number of updates and upgrades.
The most obvious changes have been applied to the exterior, where the eight-passenger SUV has receive an updated front fascia that makes it look more closely related to other Honda products such as the Odyssey and Clarity. Touring and Elite trims also get an updated version of the nine-speed automatic transmission, while lesser trim levels continue with the 6-speed automatic.
Elsewhere, the 2019 Pilot has gotten an available hands-free power tailgate, 4G LTE in-car wi-fi, a larger rear-seat entertainment system with BluRay and streaming video capability, CabinTalk in-car PA system (a great feature for families) and an updated ‘Display Audio’ touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Joining those updates is the Honda Sensing suite of active safety technology, which is quickly becoming standard on all new Honda vehicles. Honda Sensing includes forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, road departure mitigation and adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow.
Honda says the 2019 Pilot will go on sale on July 16th, at which point pricing details will become available.

Wow, the volume knob is back!
Honestly, I still think that the EX-L (6AT) is the better value, unless the newer revised 9AT is proven to be better. Thank God for the return of the knob to the Pilot as well.
