Infiniti buyers looking for a hybrid will be down to just one choice for the 2019 model year. Following the Infiniti QX60 Hybrid’s death, the Japanese luxury brand has also culled the Q70 Hybrid from the lineup.

The brand made the Q70 Hybrid’s death official in an announcement last Friday as it detailed the changes to its 2019 vehicles. Infiniti explicitly said the Q70 Hybrid is “no longer offered.” Instead, the Q70 will soldier on with either a 3.7-liter V6 engine or 5.6-liter V8 engine.

Shoppers still yearning for an Infiniti hybrid can scope out the Q50 Hybrid, which returns a 3.5-liter V6 paired to an electric motor. The sedan returns an estimated 29 mpg combined in rear-wheel drive guise and 28 mpg combined with optional all-wheel drive.

Infiniti plans to replace the Q70 with a new model based on its forthcoming front-wheel-drive architecture and should include electrification. However, the first model likely won’t arrive until early next decade.

No surprise... High prices, moderate performance and mileage indistinguishable...and Infiniy's entire lineup isn't exactly stellar right now.
