The 2020 Jaguar XE has received some much-needed appearance and technology updates, which should help position it better as it goes against more up-to-date rivals like the new BMW 3 Series.

All 2020 Jaguar XEs will feature updated exterior styling with revised front and rear fascias and new LED headlights and taillights. Performance-inspired R-Dynamic models will also get sport inspired front and rear fascias, dark mesh detailing to the rear valance and new sports wheels styles.

Inside the 2020 Jaguar XE has received the latest technology from the JLR portfolio, including the ‘Touch Pro Duo’ infotainment system from the I-Pace EV. Available as an optional extra, the system seamlessly integrates two high-resolution touchscreens – one for the infotainment system and one for the HVAC controls. It is joined by other new tech such as a wireless charging pad and a ClearSight rear view mirror, which uses rear cameras to provide an unobstructed view of what’s behind.

Jag is also simplifying the XE lineup for 2020, offering just three models/trims: XE S, XE S AWD and XE R Dynamic S AWD. The XE S and XE S AWD are offered with a 250 hp of Jaguar’s 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, while the XE R Dynamic S AWD gets the 300 hp version of the same turbo four. An eight-speed automatic is the only transmission option.
