The first production SUV effort in Lotus’s electrified vehicles has officially been unveiled.

The Lotus Eletre is here; as a big, fast, sporty super EV SUV aimed at other big, fast, luxury electric EV SUVs. It will come in three trims; the Eletre, Eletre S, and high-performance Eletre R. Power will come from two EV setups. One with a 903 horsepower, and the other with a comparatively paltry 603 horsepower. The Eletre and Eletre S will make do with the less powerful setup, but the hotrod Eletre R will gain the 903 horsepower system. According to Lotus, the Eletre R should scoot from 0-60 in less than three seconds. The Eletre’s motivation comes from a 112 killowatt-hour battery, that Louts estimates will give either 304 miles of range on the Eletre R or 373 miles of range on the Eletre and Eletre S.

Inside, the Eletre uses Lotus’s new “digital cockpit” that runs the new Lotus Hyper OS, which uses technology from Unreal Engine to make it all work. Like many other EVs, the Eletre is capable of over-the-air updates and comes with a suite of luxury features like Dolby Atmos integration.

Although official US or Canadian pricing hasn’t been announced, the Eletre’s base £89,000 ($103,000 USD) price tells us it won’t be anywhere close to cheap. The Eletre S ratchets up to £104,500 ($120,980 USD), and the Nürburgring-tested Eletre R tops out at £120,000 ($139,000).

Official market-specific pricing and availability should come soon, but for right now Lotus is accepting reservations for the Eletre.
