Toyo's new Celsius II all-season tire supersedes previous Celsius and Celsius CUV tires.

The Toyo Celsius II all-season tire will supersede the Celsius and Celsius CUV tires. As you’d expect, the new tire is designed to provide good year-round service. It departs from the norm with a Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) designation, which means it’s qualified for severe snow conditions.

The outer tread is designed to provide all-season traction attributes, while the inner tread is dedicated to conquering snow and slush. The Celsius II uses a special silica compound, assisted by high sipe density and zig-zag traction blocks, to enhance braking and traction in wet weather. “Snow claws” and slush grooves round out the tire’s anti-foul-weather design. Toyo Product Engineer & Field Analyst Cameron Parsons said, “We paid close attention to the feedback we received regarding the Celsius and Celsius CUV and made improvements in key areas of performance. Thanks to our extensive research, development, and testing, the Celsius II will deliver better year-round performance and driver confidence than ever before.”

Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake-designated tires will outperform traditional all-season tires, but they aren’t as good at dealing with snow and slush as dedicated winter tires.

The Celsius II will be offered in 15 to 22-inch rim diameters, 76 metric sizes, and S, T, H, V, and W speed ratings. Celsius II tires will be available for popular passenger cars and CUVs, including Ford, Chevrolet, Honda, Nissan, Subaru, and Toyota models. Toyo says the most popular sizes will be available in February of 2023, with more sizes coming to retailers in the following months. Celsius II tires carry a 60,000-mile warranty.
