Volkswagen’s large three-row SUV recently received a major overhaul. Chief among the changes are revised styling inside and out. As well, the V6 engine is no longer an option, as the stand-alone power unit is a 269 hp turbocharged four-cylinder.

Few other car-based three-row SUVs offer a third-row seat that’s as useable as in the Atlas.

Toyota Grand Highlander vs Volkswagen Atlas Comparison

It’s the battle of the big SUVs here—two of the biggest, in fact.

It’s true: outside of the body-on-frame behemoths, not much is larger than the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander and Volkswagen Atlas. 2024 Volkswagen Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport Review: First Drive

The 2024 Volkswagen Atlas family is big in more ways than one.

We headed to upstate New York to get to know both the Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport, and figure out where they fall in their respective segments.
