Spy photos of the DBS-powered Aston Martin Rapide S came our way today, showing a semi-dressed faster version of the British brand’s already-voracious car.

Before its “S” badge, the car already makes 470 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque from its 6.0-liter V12, but we’re expecting this version to have somewhere in the range of 500 to 520 hp. From the photos, we can see that the car will have a deeper spoiler and larger grille than the current Rapide. The taillights will also get slight changes, though the biggest differences will be mechanical.

With as much as 50 extra horsepower churning the car forward, the car will also have a modified chassis to handle its new brawn with grace. While there hasn’t been official information released yet, better brakes and an upgraded suspension are also certain to be part of the pack.

Once released, the more athletic Aston will finally be comparable to its competition. The 470-hp version is by no means slow, and arguably one of the nicest performance sedans on the market today, but it still can’t stack up in terms of price and power to the Porsche Panamera Turbo or Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG, which are both priced around the early six-figure mark. While the Astion will still be more expensive, the speed boost will at least bring it closer to par on the performance scale.
