Chrysler is recalling roughly 9,300 Ram 1500 pickup trucks because the parking brakes might be insufficient. The brand is also recalling 7,000 heavy-duty pickups to replace their engine covers.

There haven’t been any accidents reported as a result of the flaw, but Chrysler has received six complaints about the problem. According to Chrysler, over half of the roughly 9,300 affected trucks are still on dealer lots. In affected trucks, the parking brake equalizer might have been incorrectly installed, which means the trucks might roll away on a steep enough slope.

Chrysler will fix the issue free of charge by re-adjusting the parking brake equalizer in affected trucks, which were built between December 17, 2012 and January 22, 2013.

The heat covers in affected heavy-duty Ram trucks from the 2013 model year might be less heat resistant than intended. Chrysler says only 250 of the affected trucks have been sold in North America.
