The plug-in hybrid British supercar that captivated attention at several international auto shows has officially been sold out.

There were a few remaining in Europe, and confirmation that the car lapped the Nurburgring in under seven minutes is believed to have spurred buyers to move on the final copies. So far, the company has built 12 of the halo cars of the planned 375.

McLaren offers its customers the option to customize their cars, and roughly 75 percent of them are choosing to do so.

The car uses the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 found in the MP4-12C, but tuned to make 727 hp and mated to an electric drivetrain that makes 176 hp. While it’s capable of driving exclusively on electric power, it’s only rated to do so for 6.2 miles on the European test cycle.
