Ram 1500 EcoDiesel Expected at Dealers Next Month

Production on the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel will finally begin this month with deliveries expected to start in February.

The 2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel’s production starts several months after it was originally expected and the American automaker will begin by producing 1,000 units not based on dealer orders. Ram dealers are expected to begin taking orders from customers starting next month for the 1500 EcoDiesel.

The 2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel is powered by a 3.0-liter diesel engine with 240 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque and is expected to achieve around 28 mpg on the highway. The powerplant is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
