Mazda has been teasing its new CX-9, but screengrabs of the redesigned SUV have surfaced a day before its official reveal at the L.A Auto Show.

Although not as extreme as the teaser sketches Mazda has sent out, the leaked photos still show a sportier-looking SUV that takes a lot of design cues from the Koeru concept that debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The new design is dominated by an aggressive upright grille, a sculpted front bumper, a revised rear-end and a sportier stance. The redesign gives the CX-9 the same corporate Mazda look you can see all over its new lineup.

Stay tuned for more official photos and more information on the 2017 Mazda CX-9, as AutoGuide.com will be at the show bringing you the latest.
