Jeep owners are lending a helping hand and four wheels to those caught in the record breaking snow storm in Lynchburg, Virginia.

The Seven Hills Jeep Club based out of Virginia has teamed up and volunteered their time to help shuttle nurses, doctors, police officers and civil servants back and forth to work during the massive blizzard. According to Andrew Whetsel from the Seven Hills Jeep Club, they have given over 450 rides with 17 Jeeps to over 575 nurses, all in 48 hours.

The 17-year-old club currently has 58 active members and they all pitched in to help out after Whetsel made a Facebook post that got shared nearly 550 times in 12 hours.

Jeep clubs getting together to help shuttle people with important jobs during snow storms has been done many times across the U.S.

Several people have contacted the group with financial donations and the club intends to donate those funds to the American Cancer Society when it hosts its annual Camp Jeep event fundraiser.
