VW Teases T-Roc Compact Crossover With New Design Sketch
VW has revealed a new design sketch of its diminutive new T-Roc SUV on its Twitter feed.
Drawn in a bright red with a black roof, the T-Roc at least looks like it won’t fall into the grey-silver-black trap of modern vehicles.
Honking big wheels, though, are classic concept nonsense. Lovely though they look, they’ll sadly never make it to production.

The grille, too, looks good, but based on the camouflaged concepts we’ve seen in spy pictured, will also be toned down somewhat.
The T-Roc is based on the MQB platform, so it should feel like any other modern VW, albeit higher off the ground.
VW has ruled out a GTI version of this roughly Golf-sized crossover but hasn’t ruled out an R version.
The T-Roc will make its official debut on August 23rd.
A version of this story originally appeared on VW Vortex.

Design sketches always set up potential customers for a huge disappointment once the bean counter production dog is foisted on the public. It sounds like the T-Roc will be no exception. Darn...if produced as shown, it could stylistically embarrass the dramatically dumbed down Lamborghini Urus at a fraction of the cost!
