Does the new Ford Fiesta ST have what it takes to beat a Le Mans-winning Ford GT race car on the track?

The answer is a resounding no, but there aren’t likely many opportunities to find out. Ford Performance decided to see how eight of its models would perform with Ford Chip Ganassi Team drivers pushing them to their limits, heading to the Motorland race circuit near Barcelona, Spain. The new video features the Ford F-150 Raptor, Fiesta ST, Focus ST, Focus RS, new Mustang GT, Mustang GT350R, Ford GT road car, and Ford GT race car. All eight went head-to-head in a staggered time trial around one lap of the circuit, with the showdown captured on video thanks to three camera crews, a drone, and 16 GoPro cameras.

According to Ford, the sequence was filmed in partnership with Castrol Edge during a tight four-hour window, when all eight drivers took some time out from a pre-season Ford GT race car tire test. Those drivers include Andy Priaulx, Harry Tincknell, Olivier Pla, and Stefan Mücke from the World Endurance Championship, as well as Dirk Müller, Joey Hand, Richard Westbrook, and Ryan Briscoe from the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

So which car wins? We won’t spoil that for you, so take a look at the video below.
