2019 Volkswagen Arteon Finally Makes Its US Debut
Volkswagen‘s new flagship will go on sale starting in the third quarter of 2018.
Originally introduced at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, Volkswagen confirmed earlier this year in Detroit that the Arteon would head to the U.S. with a Chicago Auto Show debut. That unveiling how now taken place, with the Arteon powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 268 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The powerplant is paired to a standard eight-speed automatic transmission, while 4Motion all-wheel drive is available as an option.
The stylish sedan rides on Volkswagen’s MQB architecture and boasts a wide, planted stance with short overhangs and a coupe-like design. It will come standard with 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, full LED headlights, Front Assist, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert, and DCC adaptive damping.

Available premium features on the Arteon include Volkswagen Digital Cockpit, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, massaging driver’s seat, and Dynaudio premium audio. Buyers can also choose from a variety of available driver assistance technologies, such as Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Lane Assist, Light Assist, Park Distance Control, Park Assist, and Area View.
Essentially replacing the outgoing Volkswagen CC, the Arteon’s wheelbase is over five inches longer, resulting in more interior space. Premium materials are used throughout the cabin, while trapezoidal design elements give it a more upscale feel. Standard for the interior are sports heated front seats with leatherette surfaces, while ventilated front seats, massaging driver’s seat, driver memory, Nappa leather seating surfaces, and heated rear seats are all available as an option.
Every 2019 Volkswagen Arteon will come with a six-year, or 72,000-mile warranty, which can be transferred to subsequent owners throughout the remainder of its duration.
Look for pricing information to be released closer to the vehicle’s launch in the third quarter of 2018, but Volkswagen did confirm it will be available in SE, SEL, and SEL Premium trim levels.

Cheaters, liars.... I love VWs (had 7 of them) but damn. Not only that, the CC was really as high as they should reach. It just doesn't work for them, regardless of how good the cars are. Audi can pull it off but not VW. And the name is f______g HORRIBLE. Sounds like an appetizer I would order with my sushi. #dumbshit
