The 2019 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 has been spotted undergoing cold weather testing ahead of its expected debut next month.

The next-generation Cayman GT4 is rumored to adopt Porsche’s 4.0-liter flat-six engine, which can also be found in the 991.2 911 GT3. It makes over 500 hp in that application, but it will probably be detuned to around 425 hp in the GT4. It’s not clear if the new GT4 will offer a six-speed manual transmission only, or if Porsche will make its venerable PDK gearbox available this time around.

These photos show the Cayman GT4’s model specific front fascia and huge rear diffuser, which is joined by the same large wing as found on the previous car. The GT3-style lightweight alloy wheels are present on this test vehicle, along with large vented steel brakes and red brake calipers. The taillights are also all new and appear to be of the LED sort.

The 2019 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 should make its debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show in March. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
