According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the 2019 Genesis G70 will be offered with a six-speed manual transmission in the U.S.

Fuel economy ratings from the EPA for the 2019 Genesis G70 have been released, and one of the powertrain options listed is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a six-speed manual. That powerplant is good for 252 horsepower, and it’s likely the G70 in the U.S. will be like its Canadian counterpart. In Canada, the manual transmission is only available on the 2.0T Sport trim, which includes a limited-slip differential, Brembo brakes, and 19-inch wheels, while the cabin features a head-up display and 16-way power front seats.

As for fuel economy, the manual transmission model returns 18 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway for a 22-mpg combined rating. The rear-wheel-drive model with the four-cylinder engine gets 22-mpg city, 30-mpg highway, and 25-mpg combined rating. The all-wheel-drive V6 version returns 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway, resulting in a 20-mpg combined rating.

The model will and should continue without the MT. It's a family sedan.

Thank you Stinger!!! Just because it is a "family" sedan, doesn't mean it has to be dull or boring. The amount of time the whole family will ride in the car is most likely limited due to the other car in the garage being some sort of CUV/minivan with an auto anyway. Thank you Hyundai and KIA for keeping three pedals alive in cars, both big and small. Is the G70 in my target zone, no, but at least they (Hyundai) have the gumption to go down that road...maybe there is a G70-R in the works. Sure, they will be lucky to sell 100 of them, but maybe that is 100 more than if it were auto only; just make the car compelling, and they will sell themselves.
