Chrysler to Expand Quick Lube Service Centers to Improve Service, Increase Profits

In an effort to improve customer satisfaction, Chrysler Group LLC is urging its dealers to set up Quick Lubes as part of their service operations. Although some dealers have been shying away from the concept, Chrysler says that by adopting Quick Lubes, concessionaires will be able to double their oil change business as well as proving greater convenience and service satisfaction for customers.

Pietro Gorlier, who currently heads up Chrysler’s Parts, Service and Customer Care unit, says this push toward Quick Lubes is part of a strategy to improve Chrysler’s overall customer care experience. Other components include extending opening hours – Gorlier wants to see around 80 percent of Chrysler dealers being open on Saturdays by next year and that same percentage offering an express lube service (it’s currently around 22 percent today).

“All of the dealers who’ve implemented an Express Lube have seen incredible results,” Gorlier said. “You start with an oil change then you move to tires, to batteries, brakes and to bigger repairs later in the life of the vehicle,” he said.
