McLarenMercedes Formula One drivers Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton have been animated, as the race team has teamed up with Oscar-winning animation studio Framestore to create 12 short clips as part of the Tooned series.

As part of its promotion leading up to the British Grand Prix, UK channel Sky TV aired the first of the series, which is now on the Internet. The first episode, titled “Wheel Nuts” follows the team drivers as they get ready for the upcoming race.

Not only is the animation extremely well done, we applaud McLaren for going outside the box to promote its race team. The remaining 11 episodes will air before each of the remaining races.
