Porsche Panamera Shooting Brake Heading to Paris Motor Show
The Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake won’t sell in America, much to the dismay of the few people that dig wagon styling, but Porsche and McLaren may swoop in with their own variants.
The German automaker will debut a concept shooting brake model based on its Panamera during the Paris Motor Show this September. Porsche will play the waiting game to see how its competitor does with the CLS Shooting Brake before making a decision on whether or not to add a Panamera Shooting Brake to its lineup. If it does get the green light for production however, expect it to hit the market in 2015 when Porsche makes its next generation.
As for a McLaren Shooting Brake, it was originally thought that a Ferrari FF competitor would be coming from the British automaker back in April. German magazine Autobild is reporting that the MP4-12C Shooting Brake could debut before the end of next year, featuring the same 3.8-liter twin turbo engine that the current sports car boasts.
