Maserati will be unveiling a new styling direction for the brand when the 2015 GranTurismo and GranCabrio are revealed.

According to company insiders speaking to Edmunds, the 2015 GranTurismo and GranCabrio models will be closer to a 2+2 design rather than the four-seaters they are today. But the next-generation GranTurismo will usher in a change in the brand’s design language as the Italian automaker aims to grow its sales from under 7,000 units to 50,000 units by 2015.

As for the change in seating and size, Maserati believes with the release of the Ghibli, it can makes both its GranTurismo and GranCabrio sportier, more compact, and even more dynamic. Rumor also has it that Maserati is considering a true, all-new two-seater sports car to add to its model range.
