Buick Anthem Rumored as Brand's Third Crossover
Rumors are spreading of a Buick crossover called the Anthem, and now more details are surfacing on the future model.
The Anthem will be built on GM’s Delta global compact architecture, which means its size will position it between the existing Encore and Enclave models.
Currently it’s believed that the Anthem will be sold in North America and China under the Buick brand and will most likely start production in mid-2014 and will launch as a 2015 model in both America and China.
Why the choice to crowd Buick’s roster with a third crossover? They’re popular. So far, crossover sales are up nearly 14 percent this year according to The Wall Street Journal.

As a Buick lover, I am thrilled that Buick is going to come out with a reasonable, sensible sized SUV.. . The Buick Enclave was too big for most and the the Buick Encore was a joke, that size is a dime a dozen and not what Buick lovers want. People who love Buicks want what Buick is known for, a quiet, well built car/SUV not a foreign roller skate. The Buick Anthem should have been built in the first place, not the Encore. I don't even want to claim the Encore as a Buick, it is an insult to Buick. Glad they are going to make it right this time. Can't wait to see the specks. .
I keep checking back hoping to get a glimpse of the new Anthem, still nothing so far. Do you have a projected date when we will get the dimensions and a visual of the new 2014 Buick SUV Anthem? I am within 6 months of my lease expiring so I know I will have to lease something in the int-rum but anxious to read all about the Anthem. As you can see I plan ahead. Guess I will lease the GMC SUV (just can't bring myself to lease the Buick Encore) while I wait for the Buick Anthem. As one of your Buick lovers I am so excited over the new Buick Anthem, size is perfect. . . .
