Maserati Sales Eclipse Annual Records in First Nine Months

As it aims to sell 50,000 cars a year by 2015, Maserati has booked around 22,500 orders for new cars this year up to the end of September.

Demand for the redesigned Quattroporte and the new Ghibli has increased over the recent months as the Italian automaker had 17,000 orders at the end of July and 20,304 at the end of August.

Maserati Orders Triple Thanks to New Models

According to Maserati, the Quattroporte makes up around 9,000 of the total orders while the Ghibli has received about 7,900 orders. The Gran Turismo and Gran Cabrio vehicles have received a total of about 5,000.

Last year, Maserati sold about 6,300 vehicles and its best year in is history was 9,000 cars in 2008.
