Adding more luxury and more space, Land Rover will debut two new versions of its iconic SUV at the LA Auto Show next month, the Range Rover Long-Wheelbase and the new flagship Autobiography Black model.

Providing even more space for rear seat passengers the new long-wheelbase model adds 5.5-inches of rear seat legroom, and when equipped with the executive seating package allows for a seatback that can recline up to 17 degrees – 8 degrees more than standard models.

Initially available on Supercharged and Autobiography levels, all LWB models will come with standard power door shades and a panoramic sunroof. Maintaining the signature Range Rover look, all LWB models will wear an ‘L’ badge on the front doors, just under the side “vents”.

In addition to the LWB model, a new Autobiography Black edition adds heightened levels of luxury to the Range Rover’s cabin as well as subtle custom treatments to the exterior.

Starting on the outside it gets a unique finish for the front grille and side vents with special badges in black and chrome. The same chrome is used to accent the rear tailgate and front vents, while unique taillamps are also a part of the package. Setting off the new details are exclusive 7-spoke 21-inch wheels.

Inside the upgrades are more dramatic with a unique design to the seat leather. With four individual captain’s chairs, each comes with climate control and memory settings, as well as a massaging function and adjustable bolsters.

As though that wasn’t enough, passengers can enjoy a 10.2-inch entertainment system, while the right hand side seat includes a power “calf rest” reclining feature.

Other back seat amenities include electrically deployable tables covered in black leather, with built-in cup holders and USB chargers. There is, of course, a chiller for drinks, as well as LED mood lighting that can be adjusted in intensity and color (up to 10 different shades) to suit the passengers’ tastes.

Available in three color patterns, the Autobiography Back can be ordered in Ebony/Lunar, Espresso/Tan or Dark Cherry/Ivory.

The Range Rover Autobiography Black will be available exclusively as a LWB model in the U.S., with just 100 units planned for the 2014 model year, 25 of which will come in a custom Valloire White pearl paint.
