Challenger Hellcat Delayed by Hood Shortage

Many customers that placed early orders for Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcats are still waiting for their cars.

According to a forum posting, numerous orders for the Challenger SRT Hellcat with a satin black hood have been delayed with little to no explanation from dealerships, with some even hearing that their delivery dates have been pushed to February 2015 unless they opt for a Challenger SRT Hellcat with a standard match-painted hood.

Naturally if you’re one of those anxious customers that dropped an early deposit on the Challenger SRT Hellcat, you’ll likely want it the way you envisioned. We’ll update this post if we hear an official word from the American automaker on the delay.
