It’s official. Land Rover will build the Range Rover Evoque Convertible.

Testing of the convertible took place inside the 26-mile network of Crossrail tunnels that are currently being constructed below London so that engineers could drive the vehicle in secrecy with the top down. Along with the announcement, Land Rover released a video which showcases this testing process along with photos.

Other details concerning the new Evoque variant were not released, but expect it to use the same running gear as the standard Evoque, meaning power should come from a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 240 hp. A diesel version is expected to be offered sometime in the future for the U.S.

The convertible version will go on sale in 2016
