Competition in the luxury SUV segment is quickly heating up.
The Maserati Levante has finally debuted in production form at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, signalling the arrival of yet another luxury SUV. Boasting fairly aggressive styling bumper to bumper, the Maserati Levante is a long time coming considering the Italian automaker first flirted with the idea with the Kubang concept in 2003.
Powering the Levante is a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with either 350 horsepower or 430 hp in the S model. At the very least, Europeans will also have the option of a V6 tubocharged diesel engine with 275 hp, but it’s currently unknown if that powerplant will be heading to the U.S.

Every engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while all-wheel drive and a stop/start system is standard. The standard Levante will sprint to 60 mph from a standstill in six seconds flat while the more powerful S model does it in 5.2 seconds.
As expected, the cabin of the Levante is packed to the brim with luxury accoutrements including Ermenegildo Zegna silk. The company will also offer optional sport and luxury packages for those that find the factory standard to be too boring.

Almost looks like a crossover coupe, though not bad looking and got to say that I do like it quite a bit. If it is, it looks a lot better looking than that ugly-ass Benz GLE Coupe.
