Mazda dropped a big surprise at the New York Auto Show by unveiling a hardtop version of the ND Miata.

Well, we all knew a hardtop Miata was coming, but no one expected it to look this good.

Would you rather have the lighter weight and less complexity of the soft top MX-5 or the sexy good looks of the retractable hardtop version? Have your say in the poll below.

    Like the look of the RF, but the soft top is cheaper and lighter, hence gets the vote. Hopefully the RF offers better sound proofing that the old PRHT did when the top is up.

    The hardtop RF makes the Miata even better looking than the soft-top IMO.
