For 2025, Hyundai brings the Tuscon into the modern age with a load of design and tech updates including numerous hybrid, ICE, and plug-in hybrid powertrains. In addition to the new looks, which include a redesign, Hyundai has dramatically updated the interior.

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz is getting exactly what it needed.

On one hand: a lot of money. On the other: 641 horsepower.

Goodbye, curves.

The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe has a boxier shape overall. The front, sides, and rear all appear to have relatively flat surfaces. But the looks are deceiving. The new Santa Fe is quite slippery in the wind.

Both Hyundai and Kia have spent the last few years breaking sales records and earning plaudits along the way.

Bigger, with more tech and better range

The Hyundai Kona Electric is some $800 or so cheaper than last year, despite updates to the lineup. The base, 133-hp front-driven Kona Electric SE starts at just $34,010 including destination. For reference, last year’s Kona Electric SE was $34,845 including destination. Stepping up to the 201-hp SEL model raises pricing to $38,010, with the Limited trim topping the lineup at $42,380.

Hyundai’s production facility in Ulsan, South Korea is a colossal affair, made up of five factories, which are soon to be six, with the recent groundbreaking of a new EV production facility said to have the capacity to produce 200,000 EVs a year. The facility has the feeling of a village unto itself. Indeed, you get the impression that if you live in Ulsan – a city with a population of just over one million – you either work at the plant, or know someone who does.

It’s hard to drive three blocks in North America these days without seeing some version of the Hyundai Santa Fe mid-size crossover. It’s a massive seller for both the brand and in the segment in general, and for good reason; over the last few generations, it’s looked unique, it’s come well-equipped and such are Hyundai’s trim offerings that the buying process is exceedingly simple. It ticks a tonne of boxes…and now, there’s an all-new one.

New Kona has a lot of good going for it—and a few oversights.

In this brave new world of electrification, we’ve become accustomed to ridiculously powerful EVs. Manufacturers like Telsa, Lucid, and Lotus all have vehicles for sale that make over 1,000 hp. What we’re not so used to seeing are massively power electric vehicles coming from more mainstream brands, like Hyundai.

Goodbye, touch-sensitive controls!

Hyundai launched an all-new Santa Fe at the Los Angeles Auto Show and it’s completely different than what came before it. New style, new technology, and a few innovative features highlight the updates to the mid-size SUV.

Hyundai has never been a brand afraid to dramatically restyle vehicles, so the grand departure in exterior aesthetics for the 2024 Santa Fe shouldn’t surprising. What is surprising is the direction the manufacturer went in. Swoopy and/or angular profiles have been the norm in recent years, yet the Santa Fe is bursting on the scene featuring a very boxy shape.

Although Hyundai’s high-performance N division isn’t all that old, today it enters a new chapter – electrification. With the 2025 Ioniq 5 N, the brand’s hopes are “for performance enthusiasts to satisfy their driving passion on the road and track.”, just with an EV instead. Hyundai is quick to point out the new vehicle needs to achieve the three N performance pillars of ‘Corner Rascal,’ ‘Racetrack Capability’ and ‘Everyday Sportscar’.

Or: Everything N Its Right Place.

Hyundai lopped $4,100 off the electric sedan’s base price.

The Ioniq 6 is Hyundai’s first all-electric sedan, and it’s a good one. Having driven it on several occasions, we’ve always come away impressed. There are plenty of good reasons to buy the all-electric sedan. But like any car, it’s not perfect and there are a few points that might keep buyers away.
