The biggest downfall to checking out photos of a car is not being able to revel in the note of its engine. Aston Martin‘s One-77 certainly looks the part of a supercar, and its specs leave even the most hardcore car enthusiast salivating.

While very few of us will ever get to experience the One-77 hands-on, Aston Martin has released a video so that the majority of us will at least get to experience the beautiful and intoxicating note that the 7.3L V12 emits.

The British luxury car manufacturer released a video of the One-77 as it pilots its way through scenic Europe allowing us to enjoy the sights and the sounds. Watch as the exotic spins its 20-inch wheels through winding roads, sharing with the world its unique exhaust note and proving that the One-77 sounds just as amazing as anyone could have imagined.

It’s tough being an independent automaker; just ask Saab. Although Aston Martin has weathered the storm far better since going it alone, it’s still finding things rather tough in the high-end luxury segment.

A pair of Aston Martin Cygnet subcompacts will be testing their worth at this weekend’s Bridgestone Eco-Rally. The two Cygnets will be making the drive through the extended route of the Eco-Rally, going from Exeter College, Oxford to The Mall, London taking advantage of a 56.5-mpg rating along the way.

Having opened its first dealers in China in 2008, Aston Martin has announced plans to make a significant push into the world’s largest auto market. With an initial spread of four dealers in major centers such as Beijing, Chengdu, Hangzhou and Shanghai, the exotic British sports car brand will look to double its presence over the next 12 months by adding four more.

Aston Martin is prepping an all new platform that will form the bases of its next-generation DB9 and DBS luxury sports coupes. Aston Martin’s mighty, magnificent V12 Zagato comes with a $525,000 price tag—a bargain, if there ever was one.

The recently released Aston Martin V12 Zagato which was recently spied testing on the Nürburgring, has now been priced.

When Aston Martin first unvieled the V12 Zagato coupe at the recent Villa d’Este concours event, the British exotic car manufacturer said this is just to celebrate the relationship between them and coachbuilder Zagato. They went onto say that just a racing version will be produced to take part in numerous endurance racing events this year.

The long rumored Aston Martin-Daimler alliance appears to be taking shape, with a report in the Financial Times suggesting that the British sports car builder has approached Daimler with a request for assistance regarding engines, safety systems and other technology.

The Barrett-Jackson auctions are famous for selling rare exotic cars for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Usually the cars that command the highest prices are limited production Ferrari’s, Lamborghini’s and Aston Martin’s.

The famous 1991 24-Hours of Le Mans winner, the Mazda 787B will be featured at this weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Aston Martin Rapide is partaking in a 24 hours endurance run on June 25 at Spring Mountain Motor Sports Ranch in Nevada. The Rapide will do the run simultaneously with Aston Martin’s participation in the Nürburgring 24-hour race in Europe. Aston Martin hopes to show to the public just how powerful and durable the four door sports coupe is, while raising money for charity.

Aston Martin has decided to reduce production on the Aston Martin Rapide in order to match output to sales. The British company said they will now produce around 25 cars per week, making 1250 cars a year. Initially, Aston Martin envisioned producing 2000 cars in 2007/2008.

The slow-selling luxurious Maybach may be in trouble and we will find out by July 1. Mercedes parent company Daimler AG is trying to decide what to do with the Maybach company after slumping sale issues. Daimler will either axe the car or possibly partner with British car-maker  Aston Martin for a second-generation car.

Aston Martin’s V12 Vantage Zagato race car will be heading to the infamous Nüburgring this weekend for a warm up race as the works team prepares for the 24 hour endurance event on the 25-26 June.

We’ve heard about automakers crossing over into clothing, accessories and lifestyle products, but this is the first we’ve heard about crossing over to housing developments. And that’s just what Aston Martin is doing.

Prestige automaker Aston Martin has confirmed that it will be moving production of it’s four-door super sedan, the Rapide from the Magna Steyr facilities in Graz, Austria, to Gaydon, Warwickshire, in the United Kingdom.

Several very high end sports cars were destroyed yesterday, caused by a torrential rain that flooded Singapore’s St Regis Residences at Singapore’s upscale Orchard Road.

The Aston Martin Cygnet might seem like anathema to everything the company stands for, but Aston Martin is hoping that the Cygnet will become the number two seller for the brand.

With the Gumball 3000 already underway (it started May 26), the folks in charge of the international parade of shenanigans has released a video showing the rally’s start in Covent Garden, London. The 19 minute video shows over 100 of the most magnificent and rare supercars in the world. Even the rain couldn’t stop the massive crowd that gathered to watch the beginning of the world’s most fun and most glamorous rally.

The 3000 mile rally will start in London and end in Istanbul over a seven day period across 10 countries, via Paris, Barcelona, Monte Carlo, Milan, Venice, Zagreb, Belgrade and Sofia. It was also revealed that the 2011 rally would cost £25,000 to take part in.

Participants include the “who’s who” of the international social scene, Sheikhs, entrepreneurs, oil tycoons, and dot com billionaires.

The incredible line up includes Pagani Zondas, Bugatti Veyrons, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Rolls Royces, Bentleys, Aston Martins, Jaguars, Porsches, Morgans and several Lotus’, and this year, over 20 eco and concept electric cars are taking part as Gumball enters a new decade of green motoring!

Aston Martin is reportedly working on a Rapide S, which will be much faster than the current Rapide, via a heart transplant involving the DBS’s 510-hp engine. The current Rapide is by no means a slow car. Powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine producing 470-hp and 443 lb-ft of torque, the Rapide is capable of 0-60mph in 5.1 seconds with a top speed of 188mph.

A beautiful fire truck red Aston Martin V12 Zagato made an appearance at the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza. This gorgeous piece of British engineering revs for just under a minute sounding unbelievabe. The Zagato features a 6.0-liter V12 producing 510-hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. No wonder it sounds so great.

To celebrate 50 year since the first partnership between Aston Martin and Italian coachbuilder Zagato, the duo have now revealed the V12 Zagato which will go on display at the upcoming Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza.

In their ongoing quest to assuage the guilt of the fabulously wealthy, Aston Martin will be electrifying their ugly-duckling née-Toyota Cygnet—in case wealthy city-living socialites still think Cameron Diaz has a thing for environmentally caring men.

The two companies came together once again in 1986, which resulted in the V8 Vantage Zagato, later followed by the V8 Volante Zagato. Both these cars were built in very limited numbers (52 coupes and 37 convertibles) and are hence continually appreciating.

Prestige car maker Aston Martin has announced that the hallowed V12 Vantage has now joined the list of models available at the brand’s U.S.-based Performance Driving Course in Michigan.

The wedding of the year may be over, but you can still drive around like a royal. Two Aston Martin DB6 convertibles similar to the one owned by Prince Charles will be hitting the auction block.

Prince William chose an environmentally friendly way to show off his new bride by leaving Buckingham Palace in his father’s vintage Aston Martin DB6 MK II.

Aston Martin has just established its first foothold in India, with its first showroom in Mumbai. The showroom will be managed in partnership with Infinity Cars Pvt. Ltd., a well known local distributor, with a location in a swanky district of Mumbai known as Kemps Corner.

Aston Martin will retire its DB9-based DBRS9 GT3-class race car, replacing it with the new Vantage GT3 in competition next year. Based on the V12 Vantage road car (above), it will be powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine, and use a paddle-shift Xtrac gearbox. Aston Martin claims engine output will exceed 600-hp with over 516 lb-ft of torque, and the car will weight around 2,755 lbs.

It is also seriously fast. Thanks to its 750-hp motor, the One-77 can sprint from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds, and top out at 227-mph, not that you should try that on any road in North America.

This time around, an Aston Martin DBS gets what the tuner calls the ‘Superior Black Edition’ treatment from the infamous tuner, making 007’s famed ride look ever so menacing. Canada and Britain are hooking up for new collaboration that will get you talking. Canadian luxury mobile phone maker Mobiado is teaming up with Britain’s Aston Martin to launch collection of luxury mobile phones.

The event will be held on April 8, 2011 at the Willow Springs Raceway, and the organizer will provide helmets, driver training and food. Aston Martin of Beverly Hills will subsidize the cost of this event, so your cost will be just $495 per vehicle and a party of two.

Rumors of a partnership between Aston Martin and Mercedes-Benz surfaced quite some time ago, but according to a new report a deal between has been stuck between the two luxury marques – one that will benefit plans both firms have for their boutique luxury brands.

The two models were the DB7 Zagato coupe, and the DB AR1 Zagato roadster. Both models were built in a limited number of just 99 units. However, while the coupe was never officially sold in North America (although some did eventually make their way across the Atlantic), the roadster was a different story. The AR1, which stands for American Roadster 1, was designed and built specifically for the American market. However, since most of them went to collectors, you hardly see them offered for sale, and surely you are unlikely to come across one sitting at your local used car lot.

The 2011 Aston Martin Rapide is a unique automobile in more ways than one. A first of its kind for the brand, it features swan-doors and excellent room for up to four adults. Each occupant is provided with a sculpted, hand-stitched leather seat, expansive legroom and a driving experience certain to put a smile on the face of any secret agent.

If you love the sound of Aston Martin‘s growling V8 (who doesn’t?) then we have a treat for you. The British sports car company has just released extensive footage of the new model racing around the famous Ascari circuit in Spain.

The car in question is the very rare 1989 Aston Martin V8 Zagato Volante, and it was originally ordered by Simon LeBon, the lead singer of Duran Duran.

Faster? Sure. But better looking? Well, they’ve done it. The team at Aston Martin has beefed-up and beautified an already incredible car, turning the Vantage into the Vantage S.

Caught on display a day ahead of its official reveal at the Geneva Auto Show, you might need to take a second look to realize this is in fact an all-new Aston Martin. Called the Virage, it’s remarkable similar to the DB9 and DBS, which comes as little surprise as it sits between the two models.

With the debut of the Virage, yet another V12-powered luxury exotic this week, it appears as though Aston Martin might actually be making plans for non-V12-powered cars.

The global economy must be back on track, because Aston Martin has just released a new model in what seems like an already crowded segment. Likely in response to a growing threat from Bentley, the new Virage slots in Aston’s lineup between the DB9 and the ultra-exotic DBS.

The Gulf Oil orange and blue livery is an iconic paint job that has transcended Gulf Oil’s demise into relative obscurity, with the classic colors still appearing on all kinds of racing merchandise, and even the Ford GT road car during its production run.

One collector of fine automobiles decided he liked the Gulf paint job so much, he bought all 14 of the cars that ever appeared. With storied names like Brabham, McLaren, Aston Martin and Porsche included (among them the greatest racer of all time, the 917), the price paid for the cars must have been nothing short of extravagant.
