From ancient times until the 20th century, horses were the fastest form of personal transportation on earth. If you had to get somewhere in a hurry, chances were you’d be riding one of these beasts.

Hyundai is already cold-weather testing its next-generation Equus.

Kia is a brand that’s going places. Just a few years ago their cars were the equivalent of latex gloves; you’d use them once and throw ‘em away. But now the South Korean company is building some truly impressive, even class-leading products.

Hyundai is considering adding a third luxury model and a new compact crossover to its lineup.

Now that the 2014 Hyundai Equus has been released with its updates, the Korean automaker will begin rolling out more changes to the rest of its model lineup.

While Americans are currently enjoying the debut of the 2014 Hyundai Equus at the 2013 New York Auto Show, residents of South Korea are being treated to a special edition of the current Hyundai Equus.

Hyundai’s Equus is galloping into the 2014 model year with some important updates. This horse-themed luxury car gets even more features and amenities designed to keep it relevant in a super-competitive segment of the market.

As Hyundai prepares to launch the second generation of its more upscale models, the Korean automaker has hired premium product operations managers to oversee the sales, marketing and retail strategies for the Genesis sedan, Genesis Coupe and Equus.

Though the 2014 Hyundai Equus wasn’t supposed to make its official unveiling until the 2013 New York Auto Show, the Korean automaker has just released a selection of photos of its facelifted sedan in Dubai this weekend.

Large and in charge. Big is beautiful. Size matters. Yes, there are endless clichés to support the notion that the bigger something is, the better it is. In the automotive kingdom, some vehicles not only adhere to this philosophy, but redefine it. We aren’t talking the puny realm of offerings like the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry or even Dodge Charger. No, this is for the serious four wheeled hippos. The cars where it is more fun to be in the backseat than the front seat.

For the fifth consecutive year, Hyundai will be the exclusive automotive sponsor of the Oscars broadcast on February 24 on ABC.

Perhaps foreshadowing changes due in our market soon Hyundai has given its 2013 model year Equus a slight facelift in its home market of South Korea, with additional enhancements in the cabin along with new convenience and safety features.

Hyundai has teamed up with ArmorTech to develop an armoured limousine variant of its Equus sedan which will be heading to the 2012 Moscow International Automobile Salon for its European debut.

Tenacious Hyundai — the company that refuses to quit edging into niches, entering new segments and surprising consumers.

Hyundai spokesman Jim Trainor said that the iPad promotion was only available for the first year of Equus sales. Anyone who wants an Equus now will have to deal with a weighty lump of dead tree for their owner’s manual, though the iPad app is still available in the App Store.

The free iPad was a strong attraction for the initial launch of the Equus, though not necessarily a selling point—we don’t know how many people threw down $58,000 for the sake of a $500 iPad. No word on whether future Equus buyers will be stuck with a Blackberry Playbook.
