The Maserati Quattroporte is the Italian brand’s top sedan and it gets looks everywhere it goes, but with so many heavy hitters in this segment, is it good enough?

The rule kind of goes like this: If you’re driving a high-priced Italian exotic, you don’t complain about it.

The Maserati Quattroporte you are looking at is loaded with high-performance gear and none of it has to do with the powertrain.

Maserati will have two new vehicles to show off at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, a special edition Quattroporte built in collaboration with fashion designer Ermenegildo Zegna along with a new concept car. 

Maserati has teamed up with the gorgeous Heidi Klum for a seven-page pictorial titled “Beyond the Swimsuit” as part of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

As it aims to sell 50,000 cars a year by 2015, Maserati has booked around 22,500 orders for new cars this year up to the end of September.

Maserati has teamed up with renowned Italian fashion designer Ermenegildo Zegna for a limited edition Quattroporte that will make its debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

On the verge of disappearing during the recession, Maserati’s new models are helping drive a surge in sales.

Maserati North America is issuing out a recall for 2005-2008 Quattroporte, 2008 Granturismo, and 2008 Alfa Romeo 8C vehicles for a possible rear tie rod failure.

Maserati is hoping its new Quattroporte will help bring the brand’s annual sales to 50,000 units annually, with Italian automaker setting a sales target of at least 13,000 for the next-gen car for next year. 

Official engine stats for the new 2014 Maserati Quattroporte have now been revealed by the brand, confirming that there will be a turbocharged V6 option, as well as a turbo V8.
