Alfa Romeo 4C Gets Built in Front of the Camera – Video

The Alfa Romeo 4C will spearhead the brand’s resurrection in the U.S., and the Italian automaker has started production on its newest sports car.

Powered by a 1.75-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the Alfa Romeo 4C will pack 240 hp and will cost at least $60,000 once it hits the U.S. market. At the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the Italian automaker announced that the 4C will be priced at 60,000 Euros in the European market, which converts to around $78,190.

Giving us an inside look to the process of manufacturing a 4C, Alfa Romeo has released a video detailing the building process starting with the sports car’s carbon fiber shell. Then we see the chassis being bolted on before the body panels find its way to their new home. Once the vehicle gets painted, the body panels come back off so that the powertrain and suspension can be installed before a complete car is ready for testing.
