Alfa Romeo 4C Spider Video, First Look

Alfa Romeo unveiled its 4C Spider variant at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, tossing out the headlights found on the coupe for a more traditional pair.

Expected to enter production next year, the 4C Spider retains much of the design and performance that the coupe offers but weighs 132 lbs more thanks to the additional structural reinforcements needed by safety regulations for open-top vehicles.

Still, under the hood is a 1.75-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine but this time around, at least for the display vehicle at the Geneva Motor Show, the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider sports a center-exit exhaust system from Akrapovic.
