The next-generation Kia Optima is currently in its testing phase.

The first spy photos of the new Kia Optima have been captured in Germany and the sedan is believed to be riding on the new Hyundai Sonata’s platform but will feature signature Kia styling elements.

Expect the Kia Optima to get a major redesign along with the new platform, sporting new headlights, mesh grille and bumpers. As for what the spy photos reveal, it appears the next-generation Optima will have longer and sleeker side windows that extend behind the rear passengers to the C-pillars.
