McLaren Sport Series Teased Again
McLaren’s new Sport Series is finally fully visible in the company’s newest teaser photo.
This is the first time the company released an image showing the entire car in frame, although the front end is still wearing a cloth bra. The new Sport Series will share the same carbon fiber monocoque and 3.8-liter turbochaged V8 as the 650S and P1, but with significantly less power. Official figures haven’t been released yet , but McLaren is rumored to be giving the car roughly 450 hp.
The Sport Series will serve as a less expensive model for the brand that will ostensibly increase its sales volume by targeting customers who might otherwise buy a high-end Porsche 911. Pricing is also still a secret, but it is expected to cost roughly $210,000 when it arrives in 2015.
